Banksy Museum Lisbon

Museu Banksy Lisboa is a private immersive exhibition on Rua Viriato, near Picoas and Saldanha, dedicated to the work of the British street artist Banksy. It brings together more than a hundred reproductions, including graffiti, canvases, murals, videos and projections, and offers a route through the works that made him known, from the Flower Thrower mural of 2003 to the Create Escape stencil of March 2021. The official page makes clear that the exhibition is not authorised by the artist and was organised without his involvement, so the pieces on show are reproductions, not originals. According to the press, it opened in June 2022; the official sources do not give the date. It is open on weekdays from 11:00 to 20:00 and at weekends from 10:00 to 20:00, with last entry one hour before closing. An adult ticket costs 13 euros, there are rates for young people, families and groups, and children up to five years old go free. Tickets are sold online through MEO Blueticket, and ICOM card holders get a ten per cent discount when buying at the museum.
