Corpo Nacional de Escutas Museum

The CNE Museum preserves the history of Portugal’s Corpo Nacional de Escutas and the wider Scout movement. It forms part of the Scout Documentation Centre and shares premises with the association’s historical archive and specialist library on Rua Almirante Sarmento Rodrigues. Its collection includes neckerchiefs, badges, photographs, souvenirs and documents recording the activities, gatherings and experiences of successive generations of Scouts. This personal dimension gives the visit its character: small objects hold stories of learning, service and life in a group. Although closely connected with Scouting, the museum also welcomes visitors with no connection to the movement. Visits are free and take place by appointment only. Requests must be submitted through the official form at least five days beforehand, and availability must then be confirmed.
