Casa de Goa Museum – Livramento Bastion

Casa de Goa is the association of the community of Goa, Daman and Diu in Lisbon, headquartered on Calçada do Livramento, in Alcântara, where its history is tied to the Livramento Bastion. Within the association's premises, the fourth section of the building is described as a small museum, which includes a stretch of the original wall of the Livramento Bastion and represents Indo-Portuguese culture and history and everyday Goan life. The conference room can host temporary exhibitions, and the Casa also promotes cultural, social and sporting events, as well as publishing the Revista da Casa de Goa. The Casa de Goa Museum has no page of its own, nor published visiting hours or access conditions: the association's website states only that the office is open on working days, from 10:00 to 19:00, and closed on Saturdays, Sundays and public holidays. Anyone wishing to visit the museum should therefore contact the association beforehand by telephone or e-mail, as listed on its website, which does not confirm whether the museum is currently open to the general public.
