The old windmill that gives this viewpoint its name recalls Monsanto’s rural landscape before the park was planted. This elevated stop belongs to the walking routes around Penedo and Alameda Keil do Amaral, where woodland alternates with clearings and views towards the city. The outlook connects Lisbon with the Tagus and the landscape extending westwards. It is an outdoor walking stop that combines the windmill’s heritage with observation of the wider territory. Access follows park paths from the Penedo parking area. It is a separate place from the Panorâmico de Monsanto building.
