Recolhimento Garden Viewpoint

Recolhimento Garden occupies a small space on Castle Hill, between the neighbourhood’s houses and a view towards Alfama and the Tagus. Its intimate scale invites a short stop, with places to sit and facilities for play and exercise. Opened in 2017 as a neighbourhood green space, it added a public place to rest in this part of the historic city. A visit can be combined with a walk through Recolhimento and Santa Cruz do Castelo. The garden has its own entrance, separate from the paid entrance to São Jorge Castle, and is accessible while its gates are open.
