Calhau Viewpoint – Moinho das Três Cruzes
In Parque do Calhau, between São Domingos de Benfica and Monsanto’s woodland, this viewing point forms part of a landscape of lawns, paths and trees. The Moinho das Três Cruzes windmill preserves a reminder of the hill’s rural use before the forest park was established. The visit can be included in a walk along the Calhau paths, combining the outlook with places to rest and recreation areas. The park is also an approach to Monsanto from the built-up area of Benfica. This viewpoint is separate from the Panorâmico de Monsanto building elsewhere in the forest park.
