The hill around São Jerónimo Chapel offers an elevated perspective on Belém and the nearby Tagus. Its surrounding gardens, associated with the landscape design of Gonçalo Ribeiro Telles, connect the small chapel with the Restelo neighbourhood. Visiting the outdoor space combines views with the hillside’s walking routes. The chapel is a separate monument with its own admission arrangements; this viewpoint refers to the public landscaped surroundings. It can be included in a walk linking Belém’s monuments, Restelo and other green spaces in western Lisbon.
