The outdoor passage between the Champalimaud Foundation’s buildings leads to a viewing space beside the Tagus estuary. An open-air amphitheatre and reflecting pool form part of the architecture, framing Belém, the 25 de Abril Bridge and the southern bank. The public route connects the upper level with the waterfront, introducing the landscaped setting of an institution dedicated to science and health. A visit follows the outdoor areas open to the public, which have different access arrangements from the clinical and research facilities. It can be combined with a walk through Pedrouços and along Belém’s waterfront.
