Fonte Luminosa Viewpoint
At the top of Alameda Dom Afonso Henriques, the Fonte Luminosa area overlooks the broad garden axis and surrounding slopes. The fountain, stairways and terraces create different viewing positions, relating water and sculpture to the cityscape. A walk reveals the garden extending towards Instituto Superior Técnico and the topography of this part of Lisbon. The viewpoint refers to the outdoor public space around the fountain. Enjoying the outlook does not depend on the water displays or illumination, which may operate on separate schedules.
